According to international media reports, including the Daily Express, Russian President Vladimir Putin is suspected of having moved his daughters and grandchildren to the Valdai residence, as part of increased security measures due to fears of a possible assassination attempt.
The heavily fortified complex reportedly includes an underground bunker and is protected by 27 air defense towers, organized into two defensive rings.
According to the same sources, a few years ago their number was significantly smaller.
Meanwhile, reports highlight the contrast between the strong security measures and the situation on the ground, where the war in Ukraine continues and losses on the front remain high.
On the other hand, media outlets such as The Moscow Times report that the Russian state polling institute VTsIOM has stopped publishing data on the level of citizens’ trust in President Putin, following claims that this indicator has fallen below 30 percent.
Russian authorities have not officially commented on these reports. In this context, a stark contrast is observed between the public image of security and the political and social challenges facing the Kremlin. /Telegraph/
