Germany begins production of 5,000 long-range drones for Ukraine.
A joint venture between the German-American company Auterion and the Ukrainian company Airlogix has already started mass production of attack drones.
The German government’s order is valued at around 300 million euros and is expected to be completed by mid-2027.
Production is expanding near Munich and in the eastern part of Germany.
One of the new models will be able to hit targets at distances of up to 1,500 kilometers, while systems equipped with artificial intelligence are designed to help the drones cope with Russian electronic warfare.
Otherwise, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed a new defense package during their meeting in April. /Telegraph/
