Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has stated that Israel will not stop operations in southern Lebanon.
According to him, the country must continue to control the territory, even if this contradicts the positions of US President Donald Trump.
“We cannot stop destroying homes in southern Lebanon. We cannot stop, period,” Ben-Gvir said, adding that Israel should not allow the return of residents of southern Lebanon.
Control over this territory must continue, despite pressure or opposition from international allies, the minister stressed.
“We are an independent state,” Ben-Gvir declared.
The minister’s statements come at a time of ongoing tensions on the border between Israel and Lebanon, where clashes and military operations have caused extensive material damage and displacement of residents in the affected areas. /Telegraph/
