Ukrainian special forces have launched a landing operation and taken control of a strategically important peninsula in southern Ukraine.
This is the Kinburn Peninsula, an area located at the mouth of the Dnipro River in the Black Sea and which has great military importance due to its position.
Control over this territory allows the party that owns it to oversee sea routes and access to important Ukrainian ports.
According to reports, the operation was kept secret for several days, while footage was then released that allegedly shows the landing of Ukrainian units in the area.
Military experts estimate that taking control of the Kinburn Peninsula would be of strategic importance, as it would create pressure on Russian positions on the eastern bank of the Dnieper and would affect control of maritime space in the Black Sea.
The parties to the conflict have given different versions of the developments in this area, while fighting for strategic territories in southern Ukraine continues.
In the published footage, Ukrainian forces appear during the operation, while their message to Russian forces was: “we remind the invaders who is god.” /Telegraph/
