US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States military has killed Hector Rustenford Guerrero Flores, known by the nickname “Nino Guerrero”, the leader of the Venezuelan criminal organization Tren de Aragua.
Trump announced through the Truth Social platform that the military operation was carried out with his authorization and in coordination with Venezuelan authorities.
According to him, the target was the head of what he described as one of the most violent terrorist organizations in the world.
US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed that Guerrero was killed earlier this week.

Venezuelan authorities said the operation was carried out with intelligence sharing and specialized technological support.
“Nino Guerrero” was considered one of the most wanted criminals in Latin America. He was indicted in a federal court in New York on crimes including drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering and criminal organization, and the US State Department had offered a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to his arrest.
The Tren de Aragua gang, which was formed in Venezuela and has expanded to several countries in the Americas and Europe, is accused of murder, extortion, drug trafficking, human trafficking and other international criminal activities.
Trump presented the operation as part of the US administration’s campaign against transnational organized crime, emphasizing that the US will continue to pursue and neutralize leaders of criminal networks wherever they operate. /Telegraph
