After powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela, more than 25,000 people have been reported missing, as families continue to search for their relatives amid the chaos created by the natural disaster.
A special online platform has been created for citizens who want to report missing persons following the earthquake.
According to data published on this page, 26,086 people reported missing have been registered so far, writes skynews.
However, authorities emphasize that this figure does not constitute an official balance of confirmed missing persons, but rather shows the extent of insecurity on the ground, where many families have still not managed to contact their relatives.
On the created platform, family members have published photographs and data about people who have not yet been found, in the hope that they can obtain information about their fate.
Meanwhile, it is reported that more than 1,200 people have been found, after previously being declared missing.
Rescue teams continue operations in the most affected areas, while authorities warn that the number of victims and people affected may change, as searches continue under the rubble and in heavily damaged areas. /Telegraph
