Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has carried out a ballistic missile attack, targeting a US Marine Corps barracks at Camp Titin, a military base near the Gulf of Aqaba in Jordan.
In a statement carried by Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, the IRGC claims to have killed a large number of US forces, as well as destroyed “several enemy installations and attack helicopters” at the camp.
The IRGC said it would continue to respond to US attacks in southern Iran.
Meanwhile, the Jordanian Armed Forces said their air defense systems intercepted 13 ballistic missiles that entered the Kingdom’s airspace.
According to the Jordanian military, 10 rockets were intercepted and destroyed, while three others fell in areas far from populated areas.
Jordanian authorities said there were no injuries or casualties from the attack. The IRGC’s claims of casualties and damage to the US base have not been independently confirmed. /Telegraph/
